Posted by Admin on March, 24, 2014

Metal Detectors use a combination of mechanical, magnetic and electrical signals to locate ferrous objects. When the device encounters a metal object, it alerts the user with a beep alarm sound. You must have encountered a metal detector at airports, malls, shopping centers etc. In such sensitive areas, this device is used to secure the premises. In addition to this, hobbyist around the world enjoy the pursuit of metal detector as they promise a thrill for looking out for buried treasures and metal artifacts.

How Does A Metal Detector Work?

The basic operation of a metal detector is easy to understand. A metal detector has three coils. One coil transmits signal, while the other two receive signals. When a metal detector encounters a ferrous object, the transmitter creates a tiny disturbance, which is then amplified through the receiver and the user is alerted with a beep sound.

Types Of Metal Detectors And Their Function

  • Ground Search Metal Detectors: Characterized with a long rod, a coil at the bottom and grip at the top, Ground Search Metal Detectors bode a feature of “ground balancing” that helps prevent false signals caused due to mineral content of the soil. The metal detector can easily differentiate between ferrous and non-ferrous metals, bypass non-ferrous metals to scan and alert the user.
  • Handheld Metal Detectors: Handheld Metal Detectors work on an area above the ground to scan a person for presence of ferrous objects. Handheld detectors are used to locate metal objects. They are also known as pinpointers or pointers and are small rods that come with handgrip.
  • Foot Detectors: These metal detectors are wearable with straps. They operate when a user walks and can detect ferrous objects at a depth of upto four inches in grass, sand or dirt.

On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword....wait there's even more Now what if i told you there was a simple Wordpress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you?
